Wire dog and installation mockette

This wire dog was created by weaving 12 gauge steel around the Sentinel Dog, a bronze statue at the Roger Williams Park Zoo. Elizabeth Keithline is creating an installation called Only The Strong Survive, featuring a parade of animals that face off against a muscle car. The installation examines how human self-extension affects animal life and will be comprised of sculptures made using her signature technique of weaving wire around an object and then cutting it off the form.
