Elizabeth Keithline is making a Shadow Tree, a new sculpture for the Peabody Essex Museum. The tree’s lower 12’ will be wrapped in wire to capture the shape. Then, the wire tree form will be galvanized at V&S Taunton Galvanizing LLC, in a process that will harden the wire before the sculpture is installed in the museum.

Elizabeth will be working on site from September 26 — October 2nd. The Shadow Tree will be on view in the Art and Nature Center starting in February 2019. The artist returns to PEM the first weekend of December for a public art-making program.
